Scout User Agreement

Effective date: July 31, 2026
Last updated: July 31, 2026

Scout is a job-application organization and autofill service operated by Abhilaksh Chauhan (“Scout,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This User Agreement applies when you create a Scout account or use the Scout extension and related services.

01

Acceptance

By creating an account or using Scout, you agree to this User Agreement and acknowledge the Scout Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service.

You must be legally able to enter into this agreement and use Scout for lawful job-search purposes.

02

What Scout provides

Scout provides tools for saving opportunities, organizing applications and related contacts, matching profile information to jobs, drafting reviewable text, remembering reusable answers, and filling supported application fields after you ask it to.

Scout is an assistive tool. It is not an employer, recruiter, employment agency, legal adviser, or guarantee of an interview, offer, or hiring outcome.

03

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining access to your sign-in method and for activity performed through your Scout account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account is being used without your authorization.

Do not share verification codes, authentication links, or other account credentials. Scout may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or account data.

04

Personal data and your workspace

Scout stores personal data you choose to provide and activity you choose to save so it can deliver account sync, autofill, application tracking, answer reuse, document attachment, and related features. This includes high-level categories such as account details, profile and job-search workspace information, uploaded documents, and saved answers.

The Privacy Policy explains the specific information Scout processes, how it is used, where it is stored, the service providers involved, retention, security practices, and your export and deletion choices.

You retain responsibility for information you add to Scout. You may edit or remove records using the available product controls, export your workspace, or delete your account.

05

Your responsibilities

You agree to:

  • review all information before submitting an application;
  • provide information you are authorized to use;
  • comply with applicable laws and relevant website rules;
  • avoid using Scout to misrepresent qualifications, identity, or experience; and
  • avoid disrupting, probing, reverse engineering, or abusing the service or its security controls except where applicable law expressly permits it.

Scout deliberately leaves submission, consent, CAPTCHA, assessment, and other consequential actions to you.

06

Third-party services and sites

Scout may interact with employer websites, applicant-tracking systems, authentication providers, and infrastructure providers. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. Scout does not control their availability, content, hiring decisions, or form behavior.

Changes made by a third-party site may temporarily affect job detection, autofill, document attachment, or other compatibility. Always review the destination and result before proceeding.

07

Availability and changes

Scout may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features as the product evolves. We aim to keep the service reliable, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We may update this agreement. We will update the date above and provide additional notice or request renewed agreement when a material change requires it.

08

Ending use

You may stop using Scout at any time. Account & Sync provides controls to export your workspace and permanently delete your Scout account.

We may suspend or end access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks, legal obligations, or a material breach of this agreement. Data deletion and limited retention are described in the Privacy Policy.
